HAVE MultiMedia Client Stories

Customer Stories - Homespun

For nearly half a century, Homespun has been providing music instruction to everyone from kids just starting out to seasoned professionals who want to take their skills up a notch. And for more than 20 of those years, HAVE has been right there with them, providing duplication, replication, and other services.Homespun

Founded by Happy and Jane Traum in 1967, Homespun started out by selling analog audio tapes that were copied on tape recorders, set up at the family dinner table. Since then, their catalog has grown to include DVDs, CDs, digital downloads, instructional books, equipment, kid-specific programs, an online forum, and more!

Just because they've grown doesn't mean that they've lost the "home" part, though. Happy produces the programs, plans out future lessons, secures the instructors, does the editing, and creates most of their marketing copy. Meanwhile, Jane focuses on the business aspects, scheduling, and general operation, plus she works with the graphic designers to ensure that the programs, advertisements, and catalogs all have that "Homespun look" - no small feat when you consider the hundreds of programs they've created! Their strong ties to each other and the music world are what have allowed them to count legends such as Pete Seeger, Bill Monroe, Chet Atkins, Rory Block, Steve Martin, Ralph Stanley, and John Sebastian among their instructors.

Why Choose HAVE

Who We Are

“Our incoming phone lines were down earlier this week due to severe thunderstorms in our area. Thank you for following up on my order, that kind of customer service is so hard to find these days, and I appreciate the gesture. We received the order on time - actually it arrived a day earlier than expected. Thanks again for coming through for me in a pinch.”
