Live Oak Media is a small, family-owned company dedicated to providing young listeners with meaningful reading and listening experiences.
Arnie Cardillo began his career in audio publishing as a sound editor and engineer. He later went to work for an independently owned children's audio publisher and in 1997, he and his wife Debra purchased Live Oak Media. They are the recipients of three Grammy awards, Audie Awards and twice the prestigious Odyssey Award from the American Library Association, an annual prize given to the producer of the best audio books for children or young adults, available in the United States. The Odyssey Awards, for "Louise, the Adventures of a Chicken" in 2010, and "Jazz" in 2008, were based on production quality, including narration, sound quality, background music and sound effects. Maintaining an extraordinary library of over 300 titles, Live Oak produces over 20 recordings of children's books annually.
When he isn't producing audio books, Arnie's busy writing and recording music. He's released 2 CDs, The Many Moons of Jupiter and I Won't Forget You. In 1993, when Arnie's son Jake was four, he heard his dad playing organ and singing and said "I think Daddy wants to be a singer when he grows up, Mommy." Give him a listen at www.arniecardillo.com

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs tells the story of the town of Chewandswallow where it rains soup and juice, snows mashed potatoes, and blows storms of hamburgers--until the weather takes a turn for the worse.
The Bear's Toothache is about a boy who can't get to sleep, finds a bear with a toothache outside his window and lets him in. The boy proceeds to help the bear remove the aching tooth. They raid the refrigerator and knock over a lamp that sends the father to the room to investigate. Still sleepy, Dad doesn't see the bear hiding under the bed. Poor Dad, guess that woke him up. Finally, the bear jumps off the window ledge with a rope tied around the tooth. The scheme is a success and the bear leaves the tooth to the boy for him to keep under his pillow.
Live Oak Media is celebrating its 30th year anniversary, their work is found in thousands of libraries. HAVE shoots the artwork, edits, subtitles and authors the video productions for DVD retail and institutional sales. We also duplicate their vast CD audio library under sometimes very tight production schedules. They've been a client for more than 20 years. Needless to say, we love them!!
