HAVE, Inc. - General Conformity Statement of compliance status in relation to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA)

HAVE, Inc. MultiMedia Services Division has been working aggressively with our suppliers, industry partners, legal and safety specialists, and our customers in an effort to meet the applicable compliance requirements as specified in the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) that was signed into law effective August 2008. As a result of this new legislation there are both certification and testing requirements specified for children's products, toys, and child care articles. On January 30th 2009, the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a Stay of Enforcement of the new legislation for one year for many products.

While it is still unclear whether products manufactured by HAVE, Inc. fall under the new CPSIA regulations, HAVE has nevertheless endeavored to comply with product testing and certification. All materials obtained by HAVE from our supply chain partners for manufacturing processes that are designated as "Children's Product", defined specifically as a "consumer product designed or intended primarily for children 12 years of age or younger", have been tested and are certified to be in compliance with CPSIA for surface and internal lead.

The CPSIA also require HAVE, Inc. to verify that all customer supplied materials meet the requirements as defined in the CPSIA of 2008. Because of this requirement all new submissions of customer supplied materials that are intended for children 12 years of age or younger can only be accepted for use if the customer provides a copy of the conformity certificate for each item submitted.
